I finally made it to my FFL to pick up my P89DC that bought off Gunbroker. It appears to have been carried more than it was fired. There's typical carry wear, but extremely little signs of wear on its internals. The 305-xxxxx serial number dates to the first year of P89 production in 1993.
I took it down, and gave it a good cleaning and lube, as it looks like it been sitting unused for years. I hope to make it to the range tomorrow for a work out. I still need to get some full cap mags, as it shipped with a single 10 round.

It will run forever. Not first 89DC style more like 3rd but you'll be happy for sure.

To me, the DC's were the best of the P series.
Congrats and welcome to the Forum.

Congratulations!
My dad, now 83, says I'll get his P89 when he's ready to pass it down to me. Great pistols that'll last!

If Roylt is right that is probably a good thing. .the very first P89s used a slightly different magazine. I've heard Metgar mags will work on both the original and newer ones.. I have one of the first P89s and actually figured out how to modify the pistol to take newer mags.. not that hard if you can figure out how to get the mag disconnect pin thingy out..

Ruger1441 - Thanks! The consecutive to your rifle (42528) was part of a 6 gun set of #3s on Gunbroker a couple years back. (All 6 standard calibers) I darn near snagged 'em, but had other financial irons in the fire at the time. My notes indicate the bid was at 3900 with a 4200 Buy It Now.
If you happen to find out the ship date, it would be interesting to know!
So we have 57 accounted for.. Earliest SN is 39098 and the newest is 55964.

There's one on gunbroker for $1400 with a Kahles 3.5x-10x 50mm (~$1300 new). Anyone have knowledge of it?

Sure looks like a 1H in 458 Win. Mag. to me (D weight barrel, 24' long, not 20)). Either the seller mixed up the pictures, he doesn't know what he's talking about, or he's scamming.

He says it's a 416 which makes more sense. IF it was a No.1 44 Mag it would be a real treasure.

Picked up 132-42529 today. Looks like it is consecutive to someone else's gun
